Aliyah Support
Welcome! If you have been honored with an aliyah (recitation of blessings before and after a Torah reading), the following are the blessings which are recited. If the service is in the main sanctuary, please come to the Bimah from which the service is being conducted and be seated there during the preceding reading. You will be called to the Torah by your Hebrew name if you are able to furnish it to the reader. Women as well as men are asked to wear a head covering during your aliyah. Men are asked to also wear a tallit. Women are encouraged to wear a tallit if they desire to do so.
